Varomed® Diabetic shoes
Diabetic feet demand particular attention. Even the mildest injuries or pinching can have grave consequences. Nerve damage can often lead to the patient hardly noticing the associated pain, or being unaware of it altogether.
Another typical consequence of diabetes is that the skin of the feet, being undersupplied with blood, does not heal properly. This can lead to further complications.
Diabetic feet therefore require special care. Diabetic footwear should have sufficient width, and the feet should be checked and tended to every day. In addition, the inside of these shoes must be designed to prevent pressure and friction on the wearer’s feet. The shoe must be tall enough throughout in order to accommodate diabetic insoles.
When is it essential that you switch to Varomed® diabetic shoes?
